Dr. Trenton Watson

Dr. Trenton M. Watson is a dedicated educational leader with over 25 years of experience in public education. A Memphis native, he currently serves as Principal of Westwood High School, where his transformative leadership has led to remarkable milestones, including a fight-free school year and improved attendance rates. Dr. Watson’s educational journey spans from a B.A. at Tennessee State University to a Ph.D. in Organizational Leadership from the University of Arizona Global Campus.

 

His early days as an English teacher and basketball coach built the foundation for a career defined by servant leadership and student-centered growth. In addition to leading schools, Dr. Watson is a passionate community advocate who raised nearly $26,000 through alumni engagement efforts. His guiding philosophy, that learning is intentional and transformational, shapes his approach to leadership and mentoring. Dr. Watson’s commitment to connection, excellence, and equity continues to inspire educators and communities alike.

Ms. Zonja Glover

Zonja Glover’s inspiring journey from a group home in New York to principal of Hanley Academy in Memphis, TN, embodies resilience and purpose. A turnaround leader certified by the University of Virginia and a National Board-Certified Leader, Zonja holds a master’s degree in special education and brings a wealth of experience from Charlotte to Orange Mound. Her leadership defines her passion for community transformation, mentoring, and educational equity. Outside of education, she is a dedicated entrepreneur, philanthropist, and avid traveler.

Dr. Renee Meeks

Dr. Renee Meeks is a highly decorated school leader and community advocate with a career spanning over 25 years. As Principal of Sea Isle Elementary, she has earned awards including Tennessee Principal of the Year finalist and the 2024 STEM Leadership Award. A Cornell Women’s Entrepreneurship alum and Doctor of Education graduate from Nova Southeastern University, Dr. Meeks is also the founder of Exquisite Pearls of Excellence and co-founder of The Power of Engagement, LLC—empowering the next generation through mentorship, innovation, and faith-based leadership.

Mr. Eric L. Brent

Author | Educator | Mentor

Mr. Eric Brent is a dynamic leader who bridges athletics, education, and mentorship. A Lane College alumnus, multi-sport athlete, and Semi-Pro Hall of Fame inductee, he now serves as Principal of Trezevant High School. He holds a Master’s in Educational Leadership and has studied at Harvard and Howard. Through his B.E.M.A.S.S.I.V.E. mentoring program, he has opened doors for thousands of students. Brent is also a proud Omega Psi Phi Fraternity member, actively serving in educational leadership across Tennessee.

With over 20 years in education, Dr. Shannon Cotton is the Principal of Holmes Road Elementary School.
